FILTER
TECHNOLOGY CASE HISTORIES
Detailed
below are various options and specific case histories where AIM have
either installed or assisted in designing recycling systems and conducting
subsequent tests on product, both before and after recycling.
News Ltd
Adelaide
Advertiser:
As
AIM have successfully supplied the Adelaide Advertiser with their AIM 62C
Safety Blanket Wash since their inception over 6 years ago, they were
invited to assist in developing a recommendation for their Renzmann
Distillation Unit. AIM laboratories carried out a series of tests on the
recycled product to ultimately determine the properties of the reclaimed
product.
A specific formulation was
developed which effectively re-built the product to its original
specification by way of AIM solvent and surfactant / corrosion inhibitors.
This system is regularly
monitored by AIM who are proud to have saved “The Advertiser
$100,000’s of dollars and minimized their waste flow.
Another
popular method of recycling the AIM Blanket Wash is via separation and
filtering which has been successfully employed at the 'Courier Mail’ in
Brisbane.
AIM
have a unique arrangement with Filter Tech Australia and worked together
on the News Ltd Brisbane plant to achieve a series of settling tanks and
filters, allowing the Courier Mail to re-capture up to 90% of their waste
Blanket Wash.
AIM
also supply ‘The Age’ in Melbourne and are currently in ‘Test
Phase’ with a view to assisting them in installing a similar system to
that at the ‘Courier Mail’.
AIM
also have supplied ‘The Melbourne Age’ with AIM 62C Blanket Wash for
over 5 years and are fully approved for the presses to be installed in
their new plant at Tullamarine.
AIM
62C has been proven to offer the most effective cleaning result, whilst
still being the easiest and cleanest product to recycle.
AIM
Recycle Programme
AIM offers to assist the PMP Group
in conducting a site by site assessment of their waste generation and
disposal.
AIM are pleased to offer a variety of methods of
recycling product and minimising waste including;
Economies of Scale
Dramatic economies exist when
using any of the AIM ‘Safer Alternatives’ as the range is generally
‘non-regulated’ which means that there are less storage restrictions
and far less constraints on waste stream disposal.
